Car update & geek alert

For those folks interested - the car was diagnosed with 'oil on the MAP sensor'. A quick visit to Wikipedia and that sounds reasonable, at least! Third time lucky, huh? If it happens again, I'm gonna have to ask for a refund or else a Vauxhall Astra in exchange! I tell you, these cars are too d**n clever for their own good these days.

On a lighter note, I am seriously thinking of doing something *really* geeky soon. You folks probably know more than most how much I love board games, well there's a 'Games Expo' in Birmingham at the end of next month.

It'd almost certainly mean going up on Saturday, stay for the trade show and demonstrations all day, then back to the hotel and play games all night. Now what could be sadder than that? Doing it on your own, thats what! Oh well, we'll see!

Saturday 22 March 2008

Deep and crisp and even - not!

Yep, snowing in Surrey as well today! Took Elena to a dry ski slope in Sandown Park (by the racecourse) where we had a couple of flurries but nothing much more. Of course, all being well, she'll being seeing plenty of the stuff in Switzerland in a fortnight, a couple of meters deep if it goes to plan!

Snow!

Hi, are you all having snow? It's bitter here although it's not been settling... much to the annoyance of George, who bought a new sledge two years ago and hasn't christened it yet!!!
Begining to wish I had packed myself into Mark's suitcase.
Love to everyone
PS might go shopping in France on Monday if the weather cheers up

Grim journey home )-:

Great to see everyone, if only for a short while. Journey home was really naff! Just over 20 miles took me 2 hours and the car was getting worse and worse from about Elephant & Castle onwards. Gonna have to have a *major* whinge at Peugeot tommorrow - t.b.h. I could do without the hassle. Anyway, have a good flight, Mark.
Speak to you all soon,

Simon

Are you home yet Si?

Hello, anyone who's looking at Andy's car!!!
It'll be good to see a comment from Mark. Have a lovely time in Goa this week, and safe journey. Speaking of journey......are you home yet Simon?
Love to all
Ruth
